# Score Submission

> How admins and captains submit and confirm game scores.

Fieldday has two ways to enter scores — directly by admins, or through a two-step captain confirmation flow.

## Admin score entry

Admins can enter scores directly from the schedule.

1. Go to **Admin → Events → \[Your event] → Schedule**
2. Find the game and click the score field
3. Enter the home and away scores
4. Click **Save**

Admin-entered scores are marked as **confirmed** immediately — no captain confirmation needed.

## Captain score submission

Captains submit scores from the public schedule page after the game.

### Step 1 — Captain submits

1. The captain goes to the public schedule at `yourname.fielddayapp.ca/events/[event]/schedule`
2. Finds their completed game and clicks **Enter score**
3. Enters the score and clicks **Submit**

The score is saved with a **Pending** status.

### Step 2 — Opposing captain confirms

The opposing team's captain sees a **Confirm score** button on the same game. They review the submitted score and click **Confirm** to accept it.

Once confirmed, the score is locked and standings update automatically.

### What if the opposing captain disputes the score?

If the score is wrong, the opposing captain can click **Dispute** instead of confirming. This flags the game for admin review. The admin can then enter the correct score directly, which overrides the submission.

## Standings

Standings update automatically whenever a score is confirmed. Players can see live standings at `yourname.fielddayapp.ca/events/[event]/standings`.
