# Stats & Leaderboards

> Track player statistics and display season leaderboards.

## Set up stat tracking

1. Go to **Admin → Events → \[Your event] → Stats**
2. Click **Add stat**
3. Give the stat a name (e.g. "Kills", "Aces", "Goals") and choose the data type (number)
4. Repeat for each stat you want to track

Stats are sport-specific — the stats you create for one event don't affect others.

## Enter stats after a game

After a game is played, go to the game in the schedule and click **Enter stats**. A grid shows all players from both teams. Enter each player's stats for the game and click **Save**.

  Use the printed stat sheet on game day to collect stats on paper, then enter them into Fieldday afterward.

## Leaderboards

Once stats are entered, players can view season leaderboards at `yourname.fielddayapp.ca/events/[event]/standings`. The leaderboard shows the top players for each tracked stat across the whole season.

## Custom positions

On **Pro** and **Club** plans, you can define custom player positions for each sport under **Admin → Settings → Positions**. Players set their position in their profile, and it appears on stat sheets and rosters.
