# Join a Team

> How to join an existing team or create a new one.

## Joining an existing team

Depending on the event's join policy, you can join a team in one of these ways:

### Open join

If the event allows open joining, go to **My Teams** and find the event. Click **Find a team** to browse available teams and request to join. The team captain will approve or decline your request.

### Captain invite

The team captain sends you an invitation by email or through Fieldday. Click the link in the invitation email to accept and join the team.

### Admin only

The league organizer adds you to a team directly. Contact your organizer if you need to be placed on a team.

## Creating a new team

During registration, you can choose **Create a new team** instead of joining an existing one. You'll become the team captain.

As captain you can:

* Invite other players to join your team
* Approve or decline join requests
* Submit scores after games

## Find your team

Once registered, go to `yourleague.fielddayapp.ca` and sign in. Your team and upcoming schedule will appear on your dashboard.
