Fieldday uses Stripe Connect to process registration payments. Players pay you directly — Fieldday never touches your money.
You need a Stripe account to accept online payments. Stripe is free to sign up — they charge a standard processing fee per transaction (typically 2.9% + 30¢ in Canada/US). See stripe.com/pricing for your region.

Connect your Stripe account

  1. Go to Admin → Settings → Payments
  2. Click Connect with Stripe
  3. You’ll be redirected to Stripe to sign in or create an account
  4. Complete Stripe’s onboarding — you’ll need to provide:
    • Business or personal information
    • Bank account for payouts
    • Identity verification (required by Stripe)
  5. Once complete, you’ll be redirected back to Fieldday
When the connection is successful, the Payments page will show your account as Connected.
Stripe’s identity verification can take 1–2 business days. You can set up events in the meantime, but players won’t be able to complete payment until verification is approved.

How payouts work

  • Stripe holds funds for a standard rolling period (typically 2 business days for established accounts)
  • Payouts are deposited directly to your connected bank account
  • You can view all transactions and payouts in your Stripe dashboard

Disconnect Stripe

To disconnect your Stripe account, go to Admin → Settings → Payments and click Disconnect.
Disconnecting Stripe will disable online payments for all your events. Players will see an error if they try to pay. Make sure no active registrations are in progress before disconnecting.
